I recently got Burnout Paradise for xbox 360. I earlier had Burnout Revenge and decided to get the latest release in burnout series.

The biggest change introduced in Burnout Paradise is the move to an open world, the streets of Paradise City (cue Guns ‘N’ Roses title track). The entire city is open at the start of the game, with the idea being that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Not all of the events are present at the start, mind you, and you’ll have to put in a lot of time to unlock the game’s roughly 75 cars, but you’re never limited in the options before you.

There’s an in-game indicator of where the finish line is, but it just points in the compass direction and doesn’t help with turns or anything of that sort. This is understandable to a degree since Criterion (rightfully so) wants you to create your own routes and not rely on what it thinks you should do, but it does mean that you’ll be at the mercy of the pause screen until memory starts taking over.

This makes it quite difficult to complete the race. In earlier versions there was just a single track which made it quite easy to race. Overall was bit disappointed with the game play, but the graphics are much improved.

Nice Graphics, Difficult and Confusing Game Play

Halo 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game is the third title in the Halo series and concludes the story arc that began in Halo: Combat Evolved and continued in Halo 2. The game was released on September 25, 2007 in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States; September 26, 2007 in Europe; and September 27, 2007 in Japan. On the day before its official release, 4.2 million units of Halo 3 were in retail outlets. Halo 3 holds the record for the highest grossing opening day in entertainment history, bringing in US$170 million in its first 24 hours, going on to gross US$300 million in its first week. More than one million people played Halo 3 on Xbox Live in the first twenty hours. As of January 3, 2008, Halo 3 has sold 8.1 million copies.

I got myself a copy of Halo3 the first day it was released. Myself and Liz were waiting in freezing cold to get our hands on it. I have played the game in single person mode and online mode. To be honest I wasn’t to impressed with the game. I found other games more interesting like Call of Duty and Gears of War

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It is the fourth installment in the Call of Duty video game series (excluding expansions), the first not to be set during World War II, and the first game in the series to be rated Mature. It was announced on April 25, 2007. It was released on November 6, 2007 in North America, on November 7, 2007 in Australia, and on November 9, 2007 in Europe. The game also became available on Steam on November 6, 2007 for pre-purchase and was available to play as of November 12, 2007.A Mac OS X version of the game is scheduled to be released in May 2008.Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare focuses on the progression of warfare as a contemporary infantry soldier; presenting the player with a vast number of different combat scenarios unseen in prior Call of Duty titles. It strays from the constant assaults, interspersing high-intensity fire fights with slower-paced drama and suspenseful clandestine action. The series’ move to modern warfare introduces a variety of new weapons and technology to the Call of Duty franchise. Such showcased equipment includes the M203 grenade launcher, M4A1 carbine, the AN/PEQ-2 Target Pointer for use in conjunction with night vision goggles, the MP5SD submachine gun, and the FGM-148 Javelin portable anti-tank guided missile, among many others.

The game moves away from the prior three country-specific campaign style; the plot remains cinematic, with story lines interlaced from the perspectives of members of the British Special Air Service and United States Marine Corps Force Recon.

Superb Graphics, Excellent Online Gaming. I have been hooked onto the online playing, specially the mercenary death match
